Audio, video, lighting, staging and crew for the Women of the Year lunchtime awards, delivered for Potcakes within a demanding production schedule.
Women of the Year welcomed approximately 400 attendees to its lunchtime awards at the Royal Lancaster London hotel. Working for agency Potcakes on behalf of Women of the Year, DMS supplied the technical equipment and crew. Our scope covered audio, video, lighting and staging, bringing the technical departments together to support the awards presentation.
Tight timelines and difficult logistics made coordination central to the production. The team needed to bring equipment and crew together across several technical departments, with limited time to prepare the room. Keeping each department aligned was essential to having the production ready for the scheduled event start.
Each technical department had a designated head who was fully briefed before the event. This preparation gave the onsite team a clear departmental structure for delivering the audio, video, lighting and staging within the demanding schedule. DMS combined equipment provision with the crew needed to deliver the technical production, supporting Potcakes with a coordinated approach to the build.
The technical production was ready on time, with strong feedback from Potcakes. The project lead praised the set’s professional, slick appearance, describing it as probably their favourite set ever. The agency owner thanked DMS for going above and beyond and exceeding expectations.
